After checking in for the seaplane, you go to the airport where you wait for your plane in the lounge area. We were supposed to wait for the seaplane for 2 hours, but we were called in 20-30 minutes, and we departed quickly (you need to be attentive here, as we were called separately). Before the trip, I researched reviews and requested bungalow 441-445; we were given 444 and changed quickly without any extra payments) The rooms are obviously not Hamptons, but it doesn't matter; everything was clean, the shower and toilet were nice, and everything was pleasant and tidy. We had absolutely enough food; we didn’t even think about it as we were almost always swimming) drinks like beer or cocktails, wine, were purchased separately, which turned out to be even more convenient for us) Insects: there were 2-3 ants in the bathroom; we didn’t buy any local remedies. I was bitten by a mosquito once throughout the time. I am very afraid of flying insects, but I managed to move around the island by myself, as there was no one around) even if there were, it was somewhere in the palms. We saw a small snake once. Lizards and geckos don’t scare me; they are quite beautiful). Ocean: I really liked the variety of swimming spots; you can swim near the pier (on the right and left), on the sandbank, we swam on the bungalow side, where there were even cool little lagoons without people) the beaches were clean, we didn’t pay attention to the seaweed at all. We took sailing by recommendation again) we took it for 2 hours; we absolutely loved it. We agreed to swim with masks for another 20 minutes, and the boat captain took us to two reefs, it was very beautiful. We didn’t see dolphins while sailing, but we saw them in the evening from the pier) the captain let us steer the boat. The only thing is that sailing requires wind; we sailed from 9:30 AM to 11:30. The water was perfect, as was the weather. Weather: I can’t say that we were lucky with the weather, as it had rained all of last week) we didn’t get upset; it didn’t bother us at all, we also swam) thanks to the weather, we didn’t get sunburned, so we even read that we were lucky with the weather 😂 I would like to note that the weather forecast could show rain all day, but in reality, it rained twice for 40 minutes. We know the language at a not very high level, but everything was understandable and comfortable everywhere. We didn’t take adapters for sockets. We didn’t take anything for insect bites, only Gardex after bites, again we weren’t bitten - so it wasn’t needed. Tips are accepted there - we left them. The masks with snorkels were our own. Overall, we spent money only on drinks, souvenirs, and excursions. We didn’t go for any spa treatments; in Moscow, it’s easier to buy a full membership for Shape It for this money 😂 (in my opinion). On the island, the time is +1 hour from Male. When we flew back: the seaplane was supposed to be at 11, and in the end, we departed at 12 according to Kurudu time. We are already home, the entire transfer from the resort to home went smoothly in the end. Overall about the hotel: The garden bungalows can be confidently booked in the range of 441-450, quiet and with a nice view. You can swim there in principle, but there are better places. We swam with masks near passage 3 from the water villas, there are crowds of different fish hanging around, definitely worth watching. But the water is less clear compared to the main beach, so we mainly swam with masks there. The underwater world is amazing, it was my first time with a mask, I'm not a fan of swimming in general, but it's impossible to resist. Definitely take a mask, even if you don't swim well. It keeps you afloat, and you don't get tired. Fins, if you have luggage, too. We didn't have any, we rented them for 7 dollars a day. Divine paneer curry. Overall, the cheeses are excellent, every day there is both Brie and very soft blue cheese. Desserts are a 3+, but I'm very picky. We hit the peak (but I suspected that when I was flying, school holidays are always the peak time). So we were told to take what they give. But the room was very quiet. The rooms are, of course, old. But clean. Moreover... we sleep in the room, I studied part of the time, my husband worked, the wi-fi in the room was strong, which was important to us. So we did not try to relocate. Regarding prices. Kurédu was cheaper than Villa Park, and slightly cheaper than Bandos (we were considering it, but the rooms in our category were fully booked). We took a tour without the flight to Malé because the tour with the flight was very expensive. Aeroflot quoted an inhumane amount at the time of purchase. The flight cost more than the hotel. About the flies... we did not encounter them. I walk along the beach every morning, in the evening we watch crabs, hermits, found cucumbers right near the shore, where the beach villas are, and nobody swims there... but the local mosquitoes... these little bastards sneak up in the morning and bite the most sensitive spots. Before our departure, I took Fenistil and Gardex pencil after the bites. Gardex turned out to be unexpectedly good, even the little one noticed that the itching stops immediately. Regarding food, I cook amazing steaks myself, when it comes to meat - they can make absolutely authentic American ribs, just like from there. We reminisced. The fish here is normal. It’s not tender pink medium rare, but with sauce it’s quite alright. I haven’t seen steaks, what they call steak is actually roast beef) and it shouldn’t be steak. In short, we traveled a lot. We understood what we could sacrifice, next time the hotel will be different, simply because we want a different reef and different experiences. There is little internet here. But overall, the vacation is great. The nature is stunning, the island is large, the corals are alive, the sand is white and fine. For those planning to come here, do not be scared. I highlighted two passages in red, and there are more passages further on, but there are almost no corals there. And it is very shallow there, better to wear fins and go during low tide, otherwise, you can get hurt on the corals.
