First of all, I noticed this place because of its convenient location and excellent reviews. The hotel has a pleasant atmosphere. The interior combines Japanese and European cultures. The windows offer a view of the city and the port.

In the spacious restaurant, breakfast is served in a buffet format. In the open kitchen, the chef prepares dishes of local and international cuisine. There are more than 50 types of dishes available here. Come to Harbour Kitchen restaurant on weekdays at 7:00 AM, and on weekends at 6:30 AM, but no later than 10:00 AM. I recommend reserving a comfortable table as early as possible. The dress code is casual. It's great that children under 6 years old have breakfast for free, but only one child per adult. Most reviews about the breakfast are positive, but not all guests are satisfied with the fact that the menu is updated only every three days.

The Hyatt Regency hotel has a very convenient location. The train station, which is never crowded, is just a few minutes' walk away. There are plenty of everyday convenience stores around, such as 7-eleven. Yokohama's attractions are within a short walking distance. I recommend taking a walk through Yamashita Park and the fragrant rose garden. Visit the Yokohama Stadium along with the park on its grounds. Free up a day to visit the Red Brick Warehouse. It is now a shopping and cultural center with stores, cafes, and seasonal events. Relax afterward in Joe-no-han Park. And don't forget to stroll through Chinatown. I think it's very colorful there and you can take bright photos.

The location and reviews of this option turned out to be excellent as well. It is situated on the first line from the port, opposite the main entrance to Yamashita Park. Last year, Hotel New Grand was included in the ranking of the best historical hotels in the world.

Breakfast is served in two restaurants on the 5th floor, and it consists of a pre-prepared set of dishes. The time is from 7 to 10 AM. If your choice is western breakfast, come to the Le Normandie restaurant. Here you will be greeted with a magnificent view of the port and French charm in the interior and menu design. The western breakfast includes fried eggs or an omelet with additions: ham, bacon, sausages. The eggs are served with baked goods, green salad, yogurt, a variety of juices, coffee, or tea. 

If you wish to try Japanese dishes, come to the Kumaoan Tankuma Kita restaurant. The taste of the dishes here changes throughout the year, as only fresh seasonal products are used. An example of such a menu includes an assortment of appetizers, fluffy boiled rice or rice porridge with bean paste, fried fish, and miso soup. Hotel guests give positive feedback about breakfast at Hotel New Grand.

Guests are presented with a huge selection of 249 rooms on 18 floors. However, I recommend booking your preferred one in advance, as the location here is really great. Depending on your preferences and family composition, the following options will be available: luxurious suites, double rooms with one or two beds, rooms for three people, and accessible rooms for individuals with disabilities. There are also options for both smokers and non-smokers. Rooms are equipped with everything necessary for a comfortable stay, including private bathrooms. Some will have a seating area and access to the executive lounge. Children up to 10 years old stay for free, but please check about the possibility of an additional children's bed.

I was lucky to find another hotel with excellent reviews and location. But I want to warn you that at the end of March 2025, Yokohama Royal Park Hotel will suspend its operations and will not reopen before 2028. We are looking forward to its reopening, but for now, let's enjoy the opportunity to spend time in this great place.

You will enjoy a breakfast buffet with Asian-style dishes at Sky Lounge Sirius on the 70th floor from 7 AM to 10 AM. The dining area can get crowded, so I recommend reserving a table in advance. Take some fluffy rice and numerous toppings. Fresh fish and seafood, miso soup, omelets, pastries, traditional snacks, and fruits are always served. Guests note the good service and beautiful city views. Gluten-free dishes can be found here, but if you have lactose intolerance, you will have to forgo the local pastries. Guests consider the breakfasts to be expensive but of high quality. Elementary school students enjoy breakfast at a 50% discount.

All hotel rooms are located on the upper floors of the Yokohama Landmark Tower. The views from here are some of the best in the city, especially of Mount Fuji. The night view of Yokohama is also impressive. Within walking distance is an amusement park, making this location an excellent choice for staying with children.

I recommend coming here for the New Year holidays. Yokohama Royal Park Hotel will be beautifully decorated and will prepare an interesting program: traditional Japanese entertainment, magic and tricks, a cabaret show. In addition, visitors can enjoy a fair with the chance to win prizes, casino games, food, and drinks. Christmas holidays will be memorable if you take family photos in the magical photo zones. The chefs have already created sets with Japanese snacks and New Year desserts that you can treat yourself and your loved ones to during the holidays.

This hotel is convenient as it is located near Yokohama's train station: just a one-minute walk away. But I chose it for the excellent reviews about the breakfast.

At the Compass restaurant, a hearty and varied breakfast awaits you. From 7:00 AM, a buffet featuring more than 50 dishes from international cuisine is served here. The bright open kitchen, where chefs are working, draws attention. There are stations for preparing hot omelets, freshly squeezed orange juice, bacon, sausages, fruits, yogurts, muesli, and sweet rolls. Traditional Japanese dishes deserve special mention: rice, miso soup, grilled fish, and snacks. Meal service ends at 9:45 AM, and the restaurant continues to operate in buffet format until 9:30 PM. Dress code: casual and relaxed style.

First of all, this is a great location if you want to visit Tokyo. From here, you can get to the capital very quickly and cheaply and have a great time there. The hotel is also connected by an underground walkway to a department store where you can buy everything from groceries to electronics. Within walking distance is the modern Minatomirai area with shopping centers, an amusement park, a leisure center with hot springs, and museums. The port of Yokohama with luxurious cruise ships is also nearby, offering a picturesque view of the Yokohama Bay Bridge.

This hotel is located right on the shores of Yokohama Bay, in the Minato Mirai area, and is shaped like a yacht sail. Guests are satisfied with the views, the location, and, of course, the breakfasts.

Guests can enjoy breakfast in the spacious lounge with panoramic windows at the Ocean Terrace restaurant with a buffet service. The menu features more than 50 diverse dishes, including hot and cold appetizers, soups, desserts, grilled dishes, fresh vegetables, and fruits. You can taste local cuisine and even serve yourself miso soup broth from a special vending machine. 

Breakfast is served from 6:30 or 7:00 AM depending on the day of the week and ends at 10:00 AM. However, guests would like the time to be extended, especially on weekends when queues form. I have encountered reviews stating that orange juice stops being replenished an hour before breakfast ends. Analyzing the feedback, I recommend arriving as early as possible.

The Intercontinental Yokohama Grand hotel has a pool and a spa center, but they are paid, so I recommend making your vacation unforgettable with a stroll through the city and its surroundings. Don't miss the chance to climb Mount Fuji and walk along Lake Ashi at its foot. Or perhaps you will choose to touch upon Buddhism and visit the temples and holy places in the city of Kamakura? Or are you in the mood for a familiar urban getaway? Then you have numerous museums in Yokohama at your service. 

If you want to appreciate the beauty of the city from above, head to the observation deck of Landmark Plaza, located just a 10-minute walk from the hotel. And when you tire of walking, take a 4-hour bus tour of Yokohama or go on a sea cruise through the canals.

Finally, I found a hotel in Yokohama where breakfast is free and doesn't need to be added to the booking! It also has a convenient location, close to the other options in the selection, but nicer for the budget.

The buffet delights with its variety from 6:30 AM to 8:55 AM, and on Sundays and holidays - a little longer. I recommend coming early to make sure you get what you love. Here, dishes of Japanese and Western cuisine are served. Guests praise the local pastries, drink vending machines, a selection of juices, rice with fillings, traditional snacks, and sauces. There is more than enough for a free breakfast. Both cold and hot dishes are available.

The hotel rooms are compact in size but thoughtfully filled with everything necessary for living. Guests have access to an electric kettle and glasses, a flat-screen TV, air conditioning, a hairdryer, a desk, and a refrigerator. It is said that the pillows are a bit firm, but you can get a soft one on your floor near the elevator. The private bathrooms are also small. The ceilings are quite low, and if you are tall, it may be uncomfortable. 

However, the rooms are functional and very clean everywhere. Overall, if you suffer from claustrophobia, you might want to consider choosing another hotel. But don't forget about the convenient location and complimentary breakfast. Also, you will be greeted and accompanied by a real robot dog.

This hotel is very popular in Yokohama and maintains good reviews. It is budget-friendly, with an excellent location, beautiful views, and well-developed infrastructure.

The buffet is served in the La Veranda restaurant. Among all the hotels I chose, this one has the longest breakfast: from 6:30 AM to 2:00 PM. However, guests can stay in the hall for no longer than 90 minutes to allow others to enjoy breakfast as well. I think this time is enough to satisfy your hunger. The tables with Japanese and Western cuisine are bursting with delicious dishes, but the preference is given to local ones. There is an omelet station, traditional snacks, rice, but not many desserts. New items are added every day, but usually, the dishes awaiting you are the same.

I will tell you about places in the city that I haven't mentioned yet. For example, the Instant Noodle Museum. You can make your own chicken ramen: design your cups, choose your toppings, and watch the process. Sankeien Garden — a large traditional Japanese garden in Yokohama that is worth a visit. You will find a three-story pagoda, tea houses, and an atmosphere that changes with the seasons. Be sure to check out Yokohama Hakkeijima Sea Paradise. Moreover, at the reception desk, you can purchase an admission ticket at a discounted price. There are also activities to enjoy without leaving the hotel. For example, swimming in the outdoor pool, working out in the fitness center, relaxing with aromatherapy, and buying souvenirs at the local eco-friendly store.
